Job Description : The College of Pharmacy is seeking an Admissions & Recruitment Coordinator. This is a full-time 1.00 FTE, 12-month, professional faculty position.

This position may be located in Corvallis or Portland Oregon to support the primary mission of the University, College of Pharmacy, and the Office of Student Success and Engagement. The individual holding the position serves as an admissions and recruitment coordinator for the College of Pharmacy. They will be responsible for planning, coordinating, implementing, and assessing all admissions and outreach and retention activities. This position will also assist with EAP admissions and recruiting (Early Assurance Program).
The Admissions & Recruitment Coordinator is a source of information for prospective students, and actively recruits students through participation in various University and College-sponsored orientations and events. The Admissions & Recruitment Coordinator assists in the creation of marketing materials and communications, and represents the College at recruitment, orientation, and retention events. The Admissions & Recruitment Coordinator keeps abreast of University and College policies and procedures, and rules and regulations to assist students in meeting academic requirements.
Position Duties
80% – Admissions & Recruitment Management:
Develop and manage the admissions process for the Pharm.D. program in collaboration with the Associate Dean of Student Success, Associate Dean of Academic Programs, and Head Advisor. Oversee application processing and applicant communication as students move through the recruitment funnel. Assess prerequisite completion for applicants.
Play an active role on the Admissions Committee by assigning file reviews, contributing to discussions, and supporting the College admission goals, including the holistic review of Pharm.D. applicants.
Develop, implement, and manage CRM communication to students in all stages of the recruitment funnel. Act as Slate Captain/Super User for implementation and long-term management and growth of CRM system and College-wide use.
Strategically and collaboratively develop, implement, and maintain annual and long-term College of Pharmacy national admissions, communication, and marketing strategy; and plans for target audiences including high school students, undergraduate students, and influencers such as, parents, high school counselors, and academic advisors.
Prioritize, plan, and direct recruitment and yield-related activities and ambassador or faculty involvement in events, whether on campus, off campus, or utilizing web and social media.
Regularly participate in and attend or coordinate College participation in on campus events and activities that pertain to diverse student populations and/or minority student college access, retention and outreach populations. Develop relationships with key partners that advise and counsel these student groups. Write about these events and activities on College social media sites.
Meet with prospective and applied students as needed and answer related College of Pharmacy emails.
Evaluate the effectiveness of outreach and recruitment activities in partnership with the Director of Assessment. Recommend changes based on results of assessments.
20% – College Support/Administration/Lead Work:
Play an active role on DEI Committee in support of underrepresented student initiatives and recruitment. Initiatives include active recruitment of underrepresented student populations, including low-income, first-generation, and racially/ethnically/culturally diverse students to facilitate an inclusive and diverse cohort.
In collaboration with DEI Committee, develop, implement, and manage interviewer and Admissions Committee training to reduce bias in the Pharm.D. admissions process. Oversee Pharm.D. interview days and coordinate across College communication to support the events.
Develop, represent, and maintain relationships on behalf of the college with high school and community college personnel, prospective students and their families, cultural, and ethnic communities, OSU alumni groups and advisory boards, non-profit and community organizations and other influencers.
Provide additional support as defined by the Associate Dean of Student Success, or Dean.
Assign work to College of Pharmacy staff and student workers and oversee them in those tasks.
Oversee social media marketing directed at prospective student communications.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum/Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited four-year not-for-profit college or university.1 year of experience in college admissions or student recruitment and marketing at a not-for-profit college or university.Committed to a learner-centered, developmental philosophy, and demonstrated ability to work with a diverse student population.Demonstrated ability to communicate with and develop programming for high-ability students, high school students, community college students, including those from low-income, first-generation, and racially/ethnically diverse backgrounds.Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations of students, staff, and faculty.Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated ability to work in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment.Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.Public speaking experience that demonstrates effectiveness in reaching multiple audiences.Experience and familiarity with utilizing social media applications, databases, and other student recruitment tools.Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism.This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.This position requires driving a university vehicle or a personal vehicle on behalf of the university; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a motor vehicle history check, possess and maintain a current, valid driver’s license in their state of residence, be determined to be position qualified and self-report convictions as per University Policy 05-030.

Working Conditions / Work Schedule
This position requires occasional evening and weekend work.
The ability to drive is required in order to assist with recruiting and admissions on both campuses (OSU-Corvallis & OHSU-Portland) and off-site locations.
