Position Purpose
The QA Tester is responsible for testing a specific project, or projects, under the guidance and direction of the Lead Tester and QA Manager. The primary function of the QA Tester is to test a game for software bugs, enter detailed information about those bugs in a database, and track their progress until the game is shipped. Additionally, some tasks may require periods of high physical activity and travelling to client destinations.
Preference given to candidates in Eugene, OR area. Position open to remote candidates based around Los Angeles, CA or Miami, FL.

Essential Job Functions
Test multiple task lists and test cases
Command line-scripting
Log articulate and detailed bugs into our database using precise and detailed descriptions and steps required to reproduce the bugs
Identify the bugs root cause whenever possible
Ensure timely response on requests for more information, and proper bug flow
Verify that bugs marked “fixed” in the database are indeed fixed before closing the bug
Notify appropriate team members of verified bugs; reproduce bugs for programmers and other team members
Other duties/projects as directed
Qualifications/Skills Sets
Solid understanding of various Operating Systems across multiple platforms
PostMan or API/Json knowledge
Technical proficiency, such as computer networking, engineering or IT
Experience with MS Office and database entry
Excellent grasp of proper English grammar both written and conversational
Ability to travel
Demonstrated Ability To
Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, both written and verbal
Work well in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
Be flexible to changing priorities
Be a team player, but able to work independently when needed
Take direction
Assist in solving problems in resourceful and beneficial ways
Education & Experience Required
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates degree is preferred. One to three years of technical experience is required.
