Job Description : Job DescriptionPosition Title: Scheduling Support SpecialistPosition of Report: Executive Director Salary: $37, 440 to $43, 680Revision Date: February 2022Position Summary: Work with and assist Providers and Patients with scheduling diagnostic appointments. Managing patient demographics, medical history, insurance and preauthorization processes.Position Accountabilities and Essential Functions: Perform the initial review of incoming orders and manage the process through to scheduling.If needed, facilitate the prior-authorization process for services.High level of customer service skills as this position is the direct extension of the Imaging Center and will need to maintain a rapport with referring Provider Offices, Patients, and Payors.Ensure payment for services by accurately verifying patient insurance eligibility and benefit coverage and setting expectation for payment prior to services.Explain expectation for procedures to patients by working with the Technical Director to ensure consistent and appropriate communication.Review, verify, request, and scan appropriate orders and screening information for scheduling studies.Assist medical offices in connecting and utilizing the provider portal to facilitate the referral process and ease of communicating and obtaining results.Minimum Job Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)At least two years of recent experience in a medical settingKnowledge/familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT codingProficient with PCs and ability to utilize various software programsExcellent verbal communication and ability to read and comprehend a variety of instructionsAttention to detailAbility to multitask and be flexible to assist in tasks needed urgentlyAbility to work independently and as a team memberAbility build and maintain a courteous and professional manner with all Providers, Medical Office staff and Patients.Ability to maintain a positive attitude in a dynamic environment and stressful situations with Patients, Providers and Payors.Maintain confidentiality regarding Mid Rogue Imaging business operationsAbility to work flexible and/or extended hours to meet business needs.Job Type: Full-timePay: $37,440.00 – $43,680.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Grants Pass, OR 97526: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Education:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
