Job Description : Mott High School

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Social Work, Guidance and Counseling and/or related experience in Law Enforcement or judicial system desirable

Desired Skills:
Self-directed

Ability to communicate with a diverse student population

Problem solver

Ability to work with groups and coordinate/organize activities

Experience and/or knowledge of law enforcement and/or youth programming, youth counseling and conflict resolution

Performance Responsibilities:
Provides security, gang awareness and violence interventions

To act as the designee of the district in maintaining the health, safety and welfare of our students and employees to provide an avenue as to law enforcement matters and school code violations. This includes building(s), grounds, parking lot(s), lockers and other school property.

To provide a classroom resource for law education using approved materials.

To be a resource for students, this will enable them to be associated with a law enforcement figure in the student’s environment.

To be a resource for teachers, parents and students for conferences on an individual basis dealing with individual problems or questions, particularly in the area of substance control.

To make appearances before site councils, parent groups and other groups associated with the District and as a speaker on a variety of requested topics, particularly drug abuse.

Ability to participate in evening and after school events or activities

Serve on the Building Incident Response Team

Perform duties and functions as determined by administration

Reports To:
Principal and Director of Operations, Transportation and Security

Workday/Week:
Monday – Friday

7.5 hours per day

Compensation:
$26.49 per hour
