SCHEDULE: 52 weeks per year, 8 hours per day

SALARY: $67,500 – $75,000 plus benefits

POSTING DATE: February 1, 2022

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Security Systems Coordinator will oversee the card access software and hardware. Duties to include, but not limited to, creating user credentials, scheduling and oversight of card access and camera systems, repairs to components, coordination with vendors.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

High School Diploma or equivalent

Previous experience in security or access control fields

Hold a valid driver’s license

Proficiency with PC based software applications

Demonstrated skills in establishing spreadsheets and word processing

Strong customer service skills

Effect written & oral communication skills

Knowledge of door hardware

Be available outside of normal business hours for emergency situations

Preferred

Previous experience managing card access and CCTV systems experience

Previous experience managing and maintaining security camera systems. Thorough knowledge of maintenance methods, procedures, practices, tools and equipment

Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, peers and school community

Ability to plan and carry out preventive maintenance measures

Demonstrated problem solving

Willingness to work a flexible schedule, maintain a positive attitude and team approach, as well as dependable in nature

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

Develop and maintain access schedule for all district buildings and door systems

Coordinate and manage user access for access control and video security systems. Audit user activity, access status and provide reports to building and district administration

Coordinate and document the administration of all scheduled & unscheduled building lockdown plans and drills

Coordinate and manage interactions and support with security vendors for service issues

Maintain district oversight of security camera functionality, including coordination for repairs, maintenance and moves, adds and changes

Maintain district oversight of door access functionality, including coordination for repairs, maintenance and moves, adds and changes

Provide troubleshooting for door functionality issues including repair/replace associated access hardware

Accurately order and account for material and labor relative to position

Manage technology as it pertains to essential communication, including but not limited to, the district cell phone and email account

Plan for and manage integration of security systems

Provide training to staff on the effective utilization of systems

Communicate and coordinate systems with local law enforcement

Maintain compliance with state and federal guidelines including response to court orders and maintenance of evidence

Remain knowledgeable of current trends in security systems

Other duties assigned by administration

WORKING CONDITIONS

Have sufficient strength, ability and dexterity to perform required skills

Ability to work outdoors in a variety of temperatures and inclement conditions

May be required to work outside the normal work hours
