Job Description : Action Heavy Haul, one of the Rogue Valley’s more established and nationally recognized freight brokerages, is seeking a career-minded individual to fill the following position:DISPATCHERAlways wanted to part be of the fast pace work of Transportation? No experience? We will train!The Ideal candidate will be a team player with a work ethic that is second to none. Ability to think on your feet, work well under pressure, negotiate truck rates, multi-task, take directives well, and make a large amount of outbound phone calls.We offer a solid base pay plus commission with opportunities for advancement. Our Dispatchers average $50,000 a year. We also offer health, vision, dental, and 401k programs that are available from Day 1 !!We have a fast-paced and very professional environment ideal for top-performers.Primary Duties and Responsibilities:1. Conduct numerous outbound calls to outside carriers.2. Answer incoming calls, answering questions and/or transferring to the correct department.3. Input load/order information into the system.4. Process carrier confirmations via email and/or fax.5. Act as liaison between drivers, external dispatchers, and internal brokers.6. Respond to driver’s questions by providing direction and assistance.7. Assist in the collection and maintenance of customer information.8. Ensure drivers are meeting their pickup and delivery time commitment.9. Provide information on service failures and problems.10. Assist sales team in successful completion of loads from start to finish.Secondary Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Negotiate truck rates.2. Assist with paperwork collection.Skills and Requirements: 1. Associates Degree preferred.2. Ability to multi-task.3. High level of problem-solving ability.4. Ability to work under stressful conditions with little or no supervision.5. Ability to use computer software.6. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products.7. Ability to take direction well.8. Strong communication and organizational skills with an exception attention to detail.9.
