Description/Qualifications:

Schedulers are responsible for the pre-registration functions and the schegistration processes. Our Schedulers are that friendly voice on the end of the phone that courteously obtain accurate demographic, guarantor, and financial information. They are so sharp and accurate at obtaining this information that it assures accurate billing and clinical information.
Successful candidates possess:
A higher level of understanding related to medical terminology and anatomy to appropriately obtain, interpret, and communicate all necessary medical information, medical history, lab results, diagnostic testing, allergies, and medications to medical professionals i.e.: Physicians, nursing, and technical staff.
The ability to understand and interpret ICD-9 and CPT Coding.
Exceptional customer service skills to communicate in a positive professional manner with patients, coworkers, hospital staff, and physicians and their staff.
You may be an ideal fit if you:
Have a high school diploma or GED.
Have a minimum of one (1) year of experience scheduling for multiple departments or education in a Healthcare related field with an Associate Degree or higher may be substituted for practical work experience
Have experience scheduling in a Centralized Scheduling Center with multiple departments, utilizing data entry skills, insurance websites, and various software applications.
Have excellent clerical skills including computer terminal knowledge, typing speed of 40 wpm, correct spelling and grammar.
Have excellent interpersonal communication skills and public relation skills.
Are capable of working under pressure with continuous telephone calls, projecting a friendly and professional image.
