Job Description : NORTHVILLE PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT Human Resources405 West Main StreetNorthville, Michigan 48167INTERNAL / EXTERNAL NON-CERTIFIED POSTING DATE: March 7, 2022POSITION: STUDENT RECORDS SPECIALIST – Office Support Personnel (This position reports to the Office of Instruction with duties supporting the DistrictCoordinator of Student Records and Instructional Data.)Compensation: OSP Manual Group H – Minimum starting wage of $19.18 / hourEXPECTED START DATE: Immediate upon hire and notice – to provide an overlap / cross-training period MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s degree or demonstrated advanced knowledge and training in pupil accounting submissions and student management system maintenance.Strong computer and data analytic skills particularly in the use of databases and Excel spreadsheetsEvidence of effective communication skills, written verbal and listeningCommitment to maintaining positive relationships with staff, community, and studentsSelf-motivated, takes direction and demonstrates initiative; able to prioritize tasks / meet deadlinesAbility to read and interpret data and manuals to ensure accuracy and compliance in assigned tasksMaintains confidentialityStrong organizational skills and detail oriented- attention to accurate dataEffective analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in a fast paced, collaborative, multi-tasking environmentPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree or HigherExperience in creating a master schedule, course assignments, and student record management within a student management system (i.e. MiStar, Schoology, etc)Experience using Student Data Management Programs and Assessment Systems (i.e. MiStar, Illuminate, NWEA,Eidex, Aimsweb, Schoology, MiData Hub, Xello, etc.)Experience in an educational environmentRESPONSIBILITIES: The responsibilities reflected below are subject to change to meet the emerging needs of the Office of Instruction.1. Facilitate the student registration and enrollment process.2. Provide support for accurate, consistent coordination of the student information database by collaboration with district personnel with the goal of producing required and specialized reports.3. Systems lead for NWEA, Illuminate, AimsWeb, Xello, and other student data applications.4. Coordinate M-Step testing set-up across the District including BAA administration, etc.5. Assure that all needed data is received from schools; input student data and coordinate the upkeep of data to assure accuracy.6. Data uploads for NWEA and other district programs including those not related to MiStar.7. Accurate uploading of state and local assessment data to Illuminate8. Coordinate the processing of student schedules, report cards, and transcripts.9. Issue and maintain district-wide access and permissions for the student management system; facilitate the distribution of IDs and supporting documents for the student and parent portion of the student management system.10. Provide training and help desk support for users of the district’s student management system.11. Manage data exports from the student learning management platform for input into MiStar.12. Create and manage student and assessment data using multiple assessment systems, spreadsheets and databases.13. Liaison between district-wide personnel and RESA.14. Create specialized reports.15. Analyze and extrapolate data as needed.16. Assist the Assistant Superintendent of Instructional Services with other miscellaneous records and data support items as needed.17. Provide assistance with a variety of projects and tasks within Student Records and Data at the direction of the Office of Instruction.18.
