Job Description : IAV is currently seeking a Technician to work 2nd shift (2pm-10pm) in our Test Facility in Northville, MI. This role is a great fit for a entry-level candidate looking to gain more experience in the field! Come find out why IAV is great place to work!The Technician role works under the direction and guidance of the Lead Technician, Project Engineers, and Operations Manager. Additional duties include assisting in the execution, calibration, measurement, and lab/prototype set-up for projects and running test beds.Essential Functions:Maintain and operate engine and vehicle test benches including associatedequipment and instrumentation.Set up production and prototype engines, vehicles and instrumentation.Perform measurement tests as directed by Lead Technician or Project EngineerSupport Facility issues affecting Test Cell OperationSupport Vehicle Builds as necessarySuggest and implement continuous improvement activitiesManage Project downtime by working on Dept objectivesAlways treat all customer and IAV property with care.Perform all work according to IAV’s ISO procedures.Maintain a Safe working environmentResponsible for cleanliness of Test Cell and Control RoomTraining (Internal and External)All other duties as assignedEssential Qualifications:Associate’s degree in Automotive Technology; at least 2 years relevant experienceExperience with AVL equipment and/or dyno and test cellsAppreciation for and desire to work with a diverse workforceMust be flexible; may be required to move from one project to another based on business need; may be periods of “down time” not working on a customer projectMust be able to drive a vehicle legally in the United States; may be required to drive personal vehicle independently to the different IAV locations and customer locationsJob Type: Full-timePay: From $27.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programEmployee discountFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistanceReferral programRetirement planTuition reimbursementVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayNight shiftCOVID-19 considerations:All employees and visitors required to wear masks in the building.
