Role
At Splunk we know that effective education and enablement is key to our continued success. We are looking for a Curriculum Strategy and Development leader who will oversee and manage a team of Curriculum Managers and Developers and Producers and be responsible for our education and enablement development strategies that support our field, partner and customer learners. In this position, you will lead curriculum strategy and development processes while working with the curriculum team to ensure our teams design industry-leading and scalable learning experiences, curate world-class curricula, apply market research and persona-specific perspectives to curriculum development. Candidates must partner and communicate effectively across teams and be well versed in problem identification, needs and learner analysis, educational strategies, curriculum strategies and requirements scoping and project prioritization, effective evaluation and feedback methods and analysis, and adult learning theory.
Responsibilities
Collaborate, communicate and strategize with Education and Enablement team members, internal stakeholders and subject matter experts (SMEs), and leadership to design, develop, test, launch and measure curricula and content.
Provide direction, oversight, and management of development and production initiatives across teams in a rapidly changing environment while growing and developing the team for future success
Analyze and translate training needs and requests, scope out learner requirements, create education and enablement plans based on needs and roles, and make consultative recommendations on appropriate learning solutions
Incorporate a variety of learning delivery methods including classroom, virtual instructor-led training, eLearning or on-demand, blended learning content and hands-on labs as part of curriculum plans to support learner requirements
Continually innovate the learning experience, always engineering education and enablement output based on feedback and changes in hiring practices and/or market conditions.
Excel at program management and project management skills and tools to independently manage multiple projects from initiation through delivery ensuring efforts move positively forward
Qualifications
Significant and meaningful experience in a management capacity within a Learning or Enablement organization within and Enterprise/SaaS company
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary and globally dispersed team (matrix environment).
Experience working in the Technology field – preferably at Enterprise/SaaS companies
Knowledge and experience mapping curriculum/content to Certifications and Accreditations and building scalable hands-on lab environments to support impactful learning experiences
Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels – including collaboration with subject matter experts and managers to help write, design, develop projects.
Knowledge of Splunk, monitoring, networking, and security; Enterprise software and Cloud technologies, is a PLUS
Great program management and project management skills.
Great presentation skills.
Experience working with multiple Learning Management Systems (LMS) and tools to design and deliver world-class learning experiences
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
