In a fast paced environment like production, the supervisor is an integral part of the manufacturing process. They must be competent and comprehend complex operations. You should be able to optimize day-to-day activities while minimizing the costs. The goal is to ensure that production processes deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner.ResponsibilitiesSet daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employeesOrganize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedulesOversee and coach employeesEnsure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenanceCheck production output according to specificationsSubmit reports on performance and progressIdentify issues in efficiency and suggest improvementsTrain new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow proceduresEnforce strict safety guidelines and company standardsAssist with setting up, operating, and tending machines that extrude and form continuous filaments from synthetic materials, such as liquid polymer, rayon, and fiberglassStart metering pumps and observing the operation of machines and equipment to ensure continuous flow of filaments extruded through die and to detect processing defects.Skills3+ years of experience in managing a staff3-5 years of experience in plastic recyclingProficient in MS OfficeOrganizational and leadership abilitiesCommunication and interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated with a results-driven approachProblem-solving skillsHigh School Diploma; Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field will be an advantageJob Type: Full-timePay: $30.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:12 hour shiftWork Location: Multiple Locations
