Position : Veterinary Assistant
Job Description : Alpine Animal Clinic is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to become the next long-term member of our team. This position will split assistant and kennel responsibilities 50/50.
We’re Looking For:
At least 3 years of current, hands-on experience (CVA a plus!)
Prior experience with animal restraint and cleaning
Positive, outgoing team players with exceptional communication and multi-tasking abilities
Individuals who take initiative, are willing to help others and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
Committed to a career in veterinary medicine with interest in growth and ongoing training

Skills/Primary Job Responsibilities:
Caring for and managing hospitalized patients
Multi-species patient handling and restraint
Blood draws and IV catheter placement
Drug calculations and drug log maintenance
Anesthesia monitoring and procedure assistance
Medication administration
Outpatient treatments
Client service, communication, and sales
Managing multiple phone lines and booking appointments
Ensuring that the reception area of the hospital is always clean and presentable
Prior experience will be given priority but all candidates with relevant skills will be considered.
