WHAT YOU WILL DO
The people in these positions will provide administrative support to the following administrative roles:
Housing & Production Assistant
The person in this position will provide programmatic, technical, and administrative support for the Development Resources and Production Section and the Assistant Director. As a member of the team, they are responsible for administrative tasks that ensure a smooth process of funding offerings, production, construction, and development of housing projects. This person will interpret, coordinate, and gather information from the section staff for reporting and compliance with state and federal funding programs including the US Dept of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). his position will perform administrative research, analysis, evaluation, interpretation of the laws, administrative rules, policies, procedures, and
Housing Resource Assistant
The primary purpose of this position is to provide programmatic reporting to HUD, the IRS, and Department management in accordance with IRS and HUD rules and Department requirements, and to provide administrative support for the Section’s programs. The person in this position will need to interpret HUD and IRS reporting requirements and develop and implement procedures based on these requirements to ensure an efficient flow of information and reporting. This position will establish and maintain the Section’s database, prepare reports and analysis of activities upon request, and will act as a liaison to the public, other state agencies, local governments, sponsors, and Department staff.
Portfolio Section Support
The Portfolio Administration Support Specialist will promote a collaborative spirit with OHCS customers and stakeholders, supporting division and section efforts including Asset Management and Portfolio Risk Assessment, Program Compliance Monitoring and Physical Inspections, Preservation of Publicly Supported Housing, and HUD Contract Administration, regular stakeholder communication, website, contract management, and legislative efforts.
These positions will work to promote a collaborative spirit with OHCS customers and stakeholders, supporting division and section efforts including the Statewide Housing Plan, Consolidated Plan, regular stakeholder communication, website, contract management, and legislative efforts.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR (REQUESTED SKILLS)
The most competitive candidates will possess the following requested skills, experience, and knowledge:
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, research, and general analytical skills
A high level of proficiency with Microsoft Office and other computer applications
Experience and knowledge interpreting and applying contracts, policies, and processes
Strong communication (written & verbal) with the ability to communicate and work with people of diverse cultural and educational backgrounds
Must have the experience and ability to build relationships with internal and external partners
Ability and experience interpreting laws, rules, and regulations then applying them to varying and complex compliance situations
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
We recognize that your time is valuable. We will be looking for the following m inimum qualifications in addition to the skills listed above:
Two (2) years of experience as an administrative specialist or executive support specialist which included administrative support for a project, program, or operation. Administrative support includes those duties beyond clerical/secretarial such as interpretation of laws, rules, and regulations; administrative data collection and analysis; and evaluation of projects, processes, and operations; OR
an equivalent combination of training and experience.
One year of postsecondary education may be substituted for up to one year of the experience.

AFFORDABLE RENTAL HOUSING DIVISION: PLANNING & POLICY SECTION
OHCS’ Affordable Rental Housing Division serves as the state’s housing finance agency. OHCS provides financial support to create and preserve quality, affordable rental housing for Oregonians of lower and moderate incomes. The Affordable Rental Housing Division administers federal, and state-funded multifamily rental housing resources to facilitate the increased availability of safe, decent, affordable housing for Oregonians with low incomes. This includes the development of new multifamily rental units and the acquisition and rehabilitation of multifamily rental units; the preservation of existing subsidized multifamily rental housing and the long-term maintenance of affordable rental housing through asset management and compliance, as well as managing HUD Section 8 Contract for the state of Oregon.
