Maintain safety and sanitation standards to ensure guest and team member safety.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSTreats all guests, team members and managers with dignity, respect and caringDisplays a helpful, friendly and approachable attitude towards guests, team members and managersConsistently follows and supports Olive Garden’s systems, policies and proceduresConsistently arrives to work on time and ready for shift; is neat, clean and well groomed, according to Olive Garden appearance standardsPractices teamwork by communicating with and assisting others to ensure a great guest and team member experienceAdheres to and practices all food safety and sanitation standards, local (or applicable) laws and Olive Garden guidelinesUses equipment and performs tasks safely as directedCleans areas of the restaurant and equipment according to Olive Garden standards as assigned by managementDisplays a sense of urgency when performing job duties and completes daily cleaning list to meet time standardsSets up, breaks down and cleans the dish machine and three compartment sink according to sanitation and Olive Garden standardsSets up the dish area; sorts, rinses and washes dirty dishes, glasses, silverware and other cooking utensilsSorts and stacks clean dishes and stocks them in the proper placeCleans bathroom fixtures, glass and floors to standard and stocks items as needed; cleans floors in all areas of restaurant to standardMaintains the parking lot, dumpster area and building exterior to standardStocks appropriate supplies throughout restaurant to assist team members in providing 100% Guest DelightAssists in maintaining clean, dry kitchen floorsEmpties trash by taking it to the dumpster to ensure a clean restaurantCompletes additional cleaning projects as assignedPractices awareness to ensure dining items are not discardedESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSPerforms duties that require bending, lifting, reaching, twisting, and transporting items(weighing up to 100 pounds)Works by standing and by moving in small and crowded spaces up to 8 hours or longer if neededThis job description is intended to communicate the general nature of the position.
