Job Description : Join Oregon Freeze Dry, an essential employer in today’s COVID environment. 2021 was the biggest year in sales since 1965!We have openings for Packaging Operators. This position will perform a variety of tasks necessary for the preparation, processing, and packaging of food and non-food products.*SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: *Operate packaging machineryDirect crew activities (4 – 6 crew members)Produce to scheduled quantityMachine set-up and tear down responsibilitiesPackaging room cleaning / sanitizingEnsure process/product quality is maintainedCommunicate with packaging crews, coordinators and/or supervisors*QUALIFICATIONS*Previous packaging experience with demonstrated knowledge of equipment, products, and production procedures preferred.Good organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential.Ability to follow instructions and accurately complete documentation in a timely manner is required.Ability to work 12-hour day and night shifts (7 am – 7 pm and/or 7 pm – 7 am), including weekends and holidays.Oregon Freeze Dry runs a 2-2-3 rotating 12 hour shift schedule. This creates automatic, built in overtime. This overtime allows you to earn an effective hourly rate of $23.59, with approximate weekly earnings of $990.57.
