Job Description : The Facebook platform offers marketers unprecedented opportunities to reach and engage consumers. The Advertising Product Measurement team is responsible for understanding how to measure and increase the impact of Ad Products. In service of this goal, the team conducts research on the Meta advertising platform, designs methodologies and consults with Meta product teams to guide product development and strategy.We seek an expert in research methods and inferential statistics to help direct this research. This research is instrumental in informing Meta’s advertising product strategy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data science, research methods and statistics.
Research Scientist, Marketing Science Research (University Grad) Responsibilities:
Create a product measurement learning agenda in partnership with business product teams
Analyze internal user data and/or leverage external surveys for product ideation
Identify research questions and design rigorous research studies that solve business problems
Execute or oversee the execution of experiments or causal inference methods and analyze results
Present research results and make data-driven recommendations on product development strategy
Liaise with product marketing managers to integrate results into sales and marketing materials
Socialize/evangelize research findings generated by the Business Product Marketing Science teams within the product organization
Minimum Qualifications:
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining Master’s Degree or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics/Biostatistics, Economics, Quantitative Social Sciences, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
Experience with applied statistics including sampling approaches, experiments, causal modeling, and data mining techniques
Experience with analysis tools such as R, Python, Pandas, MATLAB, SAS or Stata
Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with relational databases and SQL
Experience in the advertising industry or consumer behavior
Experience working with or in support of diverse communities
