Position : Shipping and Receiving Manager
Job Description : Overview:
Big Sky Resort is seeking a highly motivated and organized leader as Shipping and Receiving Manager. The Mailroom provides Big Sky Resort with reliable, customer-focused service while offering daily mail services to employees and guests across the resort. In addition to overseeing all daily operations, the Mailroom Manager is responsible for creating and executing a strategic plan to meet the growing demand for mail services at Big Sky Resort.
Responsibilities:
Oversee all daily operations of the mailroom, including mail services and department staffing.
Management of mailroom team, including the recruitment, training, coaching, and supervising of 2 to 4 mailroom attendants.
Oversee bulk mail processing and metering, including all related policies and procedures.
Ensuring accurate receiving and processing of all mail and packages. This entails all resort operations, employee and guest mail and packages-inbound and outbound.
Ensuring accurate shipping of mail and processing of returns from Big Sky Resort.
Manage daily reports and communicate with departments and guests with inbound and outbound packages.
Creating and executing strategic plan to meet anticipated resort growth.
Manage town runs to Bozeman and scheduling pickups of goods from vendors.
Ensure compliance with federal and state law, as well as resort policy.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with resort managers, as well as external partners.
Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license. Must obtain Montana driver’s license within 60 days of hire.
Ability to consistently exercise good judgement.
Ability to safely operate work related equipment and tools.
Ability to communicate effectively with team members, resort managers, and all mailroom users.
Ability to effectively delegate and direct mailroom team.
Ability to lift, load, and carry up to 60 pounds.
Knowledge of post office operations preferred.
Previous management experience preferred.
General knowledge of Big Sky Resort and Big Sky area preferred.
