Reports to: Refugee Services Program Manager
Location: SE Portland
Compensation: $20.00-$22.00 hourly

Who You Are:
This Case Manager role will be supporting newly arriving Afghan families and individuals, which includes greeting them at the airport, assisting with access to housing, food needs, eligible services, healthcare, school enrollment and other wrap around services as needed. This position is a critical part of our Refugee Services Team.
What You Will Work On:
Supporting newly arrived Afghan clients with housing, employment, healthcare, education, and other wrap around services as needed.
Facilitate referrals and applications with partner agencies to ensure clients access to eligible public services and resources.
Develop strength-based service plans with clients to identify barriers to self-sufficiency and outline the necessary steps to overcome these barriers.
Provide transportation for clients as needed to attend required appointments.
What You Bring:
Education, Certifications, and Licensure Requirements/Preferences
Bachelor’s Degree (4-Year Program) in human services or equivalent lived and or worked experience.
Language Requirements
English language is required. Demonstrated fluency in a second language is preferred, especially Dari, Pashto and / or Farsi.
Experience Requirements/Preferences
Multi-cultural / multi-lingual experience required; work specifically with refugee populations and interpreters strongly preferred.
Driving required, must have valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle. Ability to operate agency vehicles, including passenger vans and / or small moving van.
