What you will be doing:
As a Clerical Support professional supporting the Newport Office of Child Welfare, you will assist both the Permanency team and the Child Protective Services team in providing discovery documents to all legal parties involved in a case. Legal parties include but are not limited to attorneys, the Assistant Attorney General, parents, service providers, and the assigned CASA. Additionally, you will cover the reception desk on a rotating schedule and will attend weekly meetings with colleagues. As the Clerical Support professional, you will enjoy communicating with a diverse group of people while being a part of a team that is unique and fun. You will also have many opportunities for learning and growth!
Working conditions:
Employee’s work will be conducted in the office.
You may interact with a wide range of people including some who have experienced trauma, exhibit challenges in controlling their anger, or other unexpected emotions impacted by drug use, cognitive impairments, or other factors.
While covering the reception desk, you may be subject to stressful situations that may require quick decision-making.
What you need to qualify:
Two years of general clerical experience, one year of which included typing, word processing, or other experience generating documents, OR;
An Associate’s degree, OR;
Graduation from a private school of business with a certificate AND one year of general clerical experience.
