Position : Community Impact Manager, Sport Participation and Growth

Job Description : Job Summary: The community impact manager is responsible for managing the development, implementation, and progression of a wide range of programs for the sports and entertainment group. Centered around enhancing the lives of children through the power of sport, community impact managers oversee one of three main areas for each organization – outreach and engagement, sport participation and growth, or fundraising and development.Key Responsibilities: Outreach and EngagementOversee the research, development, execution, and evaluation of community impact programming focused on supporting youth wellness, youth education and League initiatives.Develop and manage community-based and in-venue events including youth-focused programming, athlete or front office appearances, and special experiences with an emphasis on corporate partner activation within the community impact space.Responsible for maintaining fiscal accountability and control; maintain budget database and provide periodic reports related to expenditures.Manage direct-report colleagues, including interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating performance.Other duties as assigned.Sport Participation and GrowthOversee the research, development, execution, and evaluation of youth sport participation programming focused on growing the game of baseball or hockey locally and supporting League-generated game growth initiatives.Develop and manage community-based and in-venue events including grassroots youth sports programming, equipment collections and distributions, athlete or front office appearances, and special experiences with an emphasis on corporate partner activation within the community impact space.Responsible for maintaining fiscal accountability and control; maintain budget database and provide periodic reports related to expenditures.Manage direct-report colleagues, including interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating performance.Other duties as assigned.Fundraising and DevelopmentOversee the research, development, execution, and evaluation of opportunities to increase fan interaction with each teams’ foundation through new, innovative fundraising programs and events.Manage all charitable events and programs for each team foundation, including direct oversight of signature fundraising mechanisms such as the 50/50 raffle.Maintain relationships with new and existing individual donors, emphasizing opportunities to encourage year-round support; develop opportunities for corporate contributions to enhance foundation programming and reach.Manage administrative procedures and processes to maintain fiscal accountability and control; maintain budget database and provide periodic reports related to expenditures, as well as monetary and in-kind donations.Manage direct-report colleagues, including interviewing, hiring, training, and evaluating performance.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: The ideal candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in the fields of Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or Sports Management.The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of three (3) years demonstrated management-level experience within community relations, recreation, corporate philanthropy, or fundraising, preferably in professional sports.The ideal candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.The ideal candidate must have excellent customer service and organizational skills.The ideal candidate must possess analytic, strategic, communications, and interpersonal skills.The ideal candidate must be available full-time.The ideal candidate must be willing to work longs hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $58,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offRetirement planVision insuranceEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Work Location: One location
