SPECIAL CONDITIONS:

This position is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) within the definition of the CSKT Drug Testing policy. A favorable
determination resulting from a completed background investigation is required for your placement in this

position. The successful applicant, if not already employed by the Tribes must pass a prehire drug test and

serve a mandatory six (6 to 12) month probationary period.

This is a tested designated position: Employee will be subject to random (drug/alcohol) testing.

Employee will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with PL 101630.

Position is responsible for ensuring the effective management of the CSKTChild & Youth Trauma Services

Program Data and Federal reporting, this includes following the SAMHSA and the National Child Traumatic

Stress Networks (NCTSN) data/reporting guidelines.

DUTIES INCLUDE:
Provides oversight of all data recorded and input into the database management systems, and

provides quarterly and annual reporting required of the CSKT, NCTSN and SAMHSA Federal reporting

mandates, utilizing teamwork practices and direction from supervisors.
Position is also responsible for training program partners in data interpretation, helping them

understand how data is used to evaluate the program, and outline the percentage of goals completed

each quarter,
Attends program partner meetings and contributes to data presentation$ and evaluation discussions,

Develops and maintains effective relationships with members of the community relevant to the

program’s work and represents the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes with professionalism in

public relation areas.
Position is also responsible for assisting the program director. In addition, incumbent must have an

understanding of the database currently being utilized by SAMHSA (spars) and be able to work in

consultation with other programs; NCTSN, National TA Providers, and stakeholders, ensuring that staff

are imputing, clearing, transferring, validating, modeling and managing data.
The incumbent creates data queries, reports, printing data checks or tables, designing and

understanding relational databases for collecting data. Ensures accurate and proper input of data into

database and follows all confidentiality requirements. Position will keep records of activities or projects

and data entry information for SAMHSA and NCTSN data management systems.
The incumbent is responsible for developing and overseeing the staff only in relation to keeping their

data current and accurate; to complete the programs’ assigned tasks within fixed time duration.
Completes assigned tasks of interpreting information, fast and accurately. Stays up to date on

database training to ensure accurate data input, safe storage, transfer of information and pulling

queries.
Participates in all teleconferences webinars and trainings provided by Federal Project Officers and TA

providers that pertain to mandated requirements and program evaluation,
Works closely with and provides program evaluator demographic and benchmark data, program

performance data as mandated for evaluation reporting.
The incumbent works to support the overall goals and objectives of the CYTS program by providing

database input, management, and administrative services.
Performs all other duties required to data management and assists with other program projects as

assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (AS REFLECTED ON THE TRIBAL EMPLOYMENT APPLICATION)

Must possess a Bachelor’s degree and up to two years’ experience working with Federal Grants in the
areas of developing program logic models and program process implementation and outcomes data
collection plans, as required for evaluation, (Prefer a B.A. Degree in business administration, sociology
or social work). Position is also required to possess knowledge of designing data management systems
and working with systems designer to ensure the proper function of the database for accurate data
reporting. Must also write portions of Federal Grant Report, where proper data measures are required to
be reported. In addition, the position must demonstrate experience presenting data in charts, graphs or
tables or professional presentations, including power point presentations; Must be able to analyze data
using statistical techniques within Microsoft Excel and possess at least (three years of experience
managing programs) that serve atrisk families/children, as well as, the ability to develop effective and
practical strategies for implementing program objectives as assigned by supervisors and team input which
is agreed upon.
Incumbent must pass background investigation. No misdemeanors pending and or in process. Must have
never been convicted or pled guilty to a crime of domestic violence, child abuse, or elder abuse, sexual
offense or crime of violence (felony). Must not have resigned to avoid disciplinary actions or been
dismissed from employment within the past three (3) years. Must possess a valid Montana Driver’s
license and maintain liability insurance.
Must not have been involved with any child or social service protection agency as a client. No alcohol or
drug abuse charges or domestic violence charges within the past five (5) years mandatory. Annual
confidentiality agreement and investigative background check required. Position is a testing designated
position (TDP) under the terms and conditions of the CSKT drugtesting program and implementing
rules.
Must not have had a conviction of driving under the influence of substances or a per se within the last
three (3) years.
This position is a mandatory reporter of child abuse and neglect situations.
