Your pay will be determined by which level you test in at. We are looking for talented, hard-working individuals to join our team.Challenge is #PeoplePoweredPosition Summary:Provide production support by performing setup, troubleshooting and operations of automated welding cells within a production facility, as well as implementing best practices and proactively assess welding/robotic applications, as well as mentor Auto Technician I and Auto Technician trainee.The right candidate must be 18 years or older, have good math skills, mechanical skills and basic computer skills. Candidate must be able to work in manufacturing environment with loud machinery, oils and lubricants, cleaning supplies, power tools, overhead cranes and hi-lo traffic. Candidate must be able to do physical work which includes lifting to 50 lbs., using power tools, constant standing and walking, some bending and climbing, pushing and pulling.Requirements:Automation Technician (Welding):Provide production support by performing setup, troubleshooting and operations of automated welding cells within a production facility.Implements best practices and proactively assess welding/robotic applications.May mentor Automation Technician trainees depending on experience level.Follow all safety procedures and protocols while servicing or maintaining equipment.Demonstrate proficiency while troubleshooting automated welding cells to effect permanent change in order to eliminate cell down time.Ability to execute with proficiency all duties and responsibilities requirements of weld technician.Prioritize tasks within the facility relating to weld troubleshooting, set-up and coordinate events with production.Demonstrate basic level proficiency in troubleshooting using electrical / mechanical prints.Perform and critique equipment preventative maintenance.Troubleshoot low voltage electrical components and circuits (Connecting circuit breakers or other low voltage components in a junction box or panel) (Wiringharnesses, drive systems, relays, boards).Make proper connections of the following communication protocols: Remote I/O, Ethernet, DeviceNet.Maintain, debug, and troubleshoot robotic and PLC programs.Modify and perform basic programming of robots in all robotic applications such as ABB and Fanuc.Basic weld troubleshooting for all welding applications (drawn arc, GMAW, resistance welding, projection welding, Pneumatic systems, etc.).Basic Troubleshooting and adjustment of weld fixtures.Troubleshoot Poke Yoke systems and applications.Automation Technician (Press):Oversee and improve automated processes in manufacturing facility.Supervise industrial automated equipment and processes on Press Machines.Analyze, prepare, and communicate reports on machinery for process improvements.Maintain, debug, and troubleshoot robotic and PLC programs.Maintain, debug, and troubleshoot robotic processes.Prepare technical documentation such as operating and training manuals.Proactive in process and quality improvementsEnsure compliance with all legislative safety requirements.Abide by all Company policies including, but not limited to the following: Health and Safety, Environmental, Quality, Human Resources policies, and the Employee Handbook.Education/ExperienceRequires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED)A two-year degree in related field, or five years equivalent experience or on the job training or completion of formal Automation Technician apprenticeship.On the job training may be required.Other Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
