Job Description : ABA Behavior Technician Join the fast growing field of Autism Therapy. Channel your passion for children and make a difference as a Behavior Technician. We are in need of dedicated, compassionate, and experienced Behavioral Health Technicians. It is the mission of North Shore Health Services to provide the best ABA therapy based on empirically validated ABA principles and to shape behavior by celebrating those small, every day successes. North Shore Health Services provides in-home and clinic based ABA services for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. We are a family-centered organization that works in partnership with parents to meet their child’s needs in a supportive environment. Services are funded privately, through health insurance, or Medicaid. The Behavior Technician will be trained to work with children and families affected with Autism.Training will include:Understanding what Autism is and how to work with kids with Autism using Applied Behavior Analysis TechniquesCurriculum development including: language, play, cognitive, social, and motor skillsHow to chart and reduce problem behaviorsHow to teach in the natural environmentWork with apps, games and web based technology via an iPadProviding one on one ABA therapyWorking in a supervised environment by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to help implement the child’s programUnderstanding the implementation of treatment plansRequirements for employment include:Bachelor’s Degree not required, but preferredReferencesReliable means of transportationNO PAST CRIMINAL HISTORYFlexible SchedulingPassion for working with ChildrenMaintaining respect and confidentiality for all clients while adhering to HIPAAAbility to lift up to 50 pounds requiredAbility to twist, stoop, and bend regularlyAbility to communicate clearly and effectively both verbal and in writingWork cooperatively with other professionals and staff to facilitate positive interactions for the student and all involved in the student’s educationEvening availability a mustAll applicants must pass a background check, drug screen, and driving history check. Compensation commensurate with experience but up to 19.00 per hour! Location: Auburn.
