Help Desk Analyst
The Help Desk Analyst responsible for the daily support and tasks related to desktop computer and peripheral hardware, software technologies, asset management and the help desk tracking system. In addition, this position will also work closely with the Infrastructure Team in providing support to the computer network and telecom systems.
Schedule: Standard office hours are from 8:00am to 5:00pm CST, but must be available to work flexible hours including early mornings, later nights, and Saturdays as needed
Salary: $40,000 to $55,000 annually, dependent on experience

DAY TO DAY
Provide first line response for users with desktop, laptop, password, and application issues.
Respond to requests for issues that may require technical assistance to be provided by phone, email and or/using a help desk management system.
Customizes the conversation by articulating clear instructions and troubleshooting information appropriate to the employee’s level of technical knowledge. Ensures understanding so that all staff is able to perform their job functions.
Install, configure, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and connectivity issues.
Provide Active Directory administration including, but not limited to, user management, password reset, and group policy creation and deployment
Create, test and standardize desktop application deployments through company’s software tools across physical and VDI environment
Assist System Administration team with server and workstation patching of Windows operating systems and third-party applications.
Responsible for hardware and image build, configuration, setup and deployment of workstations and thin clients ensuring all users are able to complete their assigned job functions.
Helps new hires to feel welcome by ensuring that their technological needs are met and answering system related questions so that they are able to be productive immediately upon starting with Harris & Harris.
Responsible for creating and maintaining documentation of support processes.
WHAT YOU MUST POSSESS
Must Have:
Must have experience and knowledge of troubleshooting Microsoft Office MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, MS Power Point and Outlook.
CompTIA A+ or Server+ Certifications preferred
At least 1 year of experience in helpdesk or similar role
High School Diploma or Equivalent (Higher level education preferred)
Additional Required Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High quality customer service skills
Strong ability to prioritize work appropriately, be flexible and be well organized.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to think out of the box and implement smart solutions to ever changing company needs.
