Position : HR Business Partner
Job Description : This position plays a key role in providing core, common and consistent HR solutions to the leadership team and business unit/division. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day Human Resource functions including: coaching, HR compliance, HR analytics, on-boarding, recordkeeping, employee relations, training and development, compensation and performance management.

Responsibilities
Participate in the development, establishment, and implementation of department goals, objectives, and systems that directly impact HR strategy and overall business plans for Tyler. Provide assistance to ensure that the HR strategy reflects the Tyler core values, mission and culture.
Partner directly and effectively with other members of the HR team to help drive appropriate HR initiatives for the division in a timely and professional manner.
Maintain current knowledge of changes in federal and state employment laws, rules, and regulations as well as labor law. Advise management of changes in such laws as necessary. Update and distribute revised employment policies and procedures to ensure Company compliance with all current employment laws, rules, and regulations. Communicate with Legal Counsel as necessary to ensure compliance.
Provide management with compensation recommendations based on business needs, FLSA requirements and other state and federal laws
Act as a business partner for managers and supervisors providing counseling and support as necessary in dealing with employer/employee issues and employment policies and procedures. Work directly with managers and senior managers to resolve more complex issues.
Provide guidance and input on business unit reorgs and workforce planning
Coordinate and provide for appropriate employee development and training programs. Actively solicit managers and senior management input to determine development needs for the business. Ensure that training needs assessments are conducted as necessary. Work directly with all managers and supervisors to ensure that the development requirements of the organization are met.
Provide guidance and direction to leaders on performance management as needed.
Coordinate all communications on employer/employee relations needs and/or issues with the Manager of Human Resources.
Conduct termination processing to include exit interviews.
Administer Company policies and procedures uniformly and fairly. Actively promote and support applicable Affirmative Action and EEOC programs and compliance requirements.
Develop strong relationships with all business functions and determine Human Resources priorities consistent with business objectives
Serve as a leader in driving positive organizational change. Support and foster and safe and engaging work environment for all employees.
Attendance and coordination of university career fairs
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from a four year university or college required; or 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Stable work history
2-5 years generalist experience preferred with in depth knowledge of Employee Relations, Labor law, Talent Management and Learning/Training in a corporate environment.
Strong consultative, mentoring, coaching and presentation skills. Sound business acumen and demonstrated ability to establish credibility, trust and partnership at all levels of the organization.
Creativity, innovation and the ability to think ‘out-of-the-box’ in problem solving, organizational diagnosis, and solution generation.
Effective interpersonal skills including the ability to collaborate, influence, negotiate, resolve conflicts and effectively coach both managers and employees.
High level of independence and initiative while working effectively as part of team.
Results oriented, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task whilst utilizing MS Office tools.
Must have the ability to make recommendation to effectively resolve problems or issues, by using judgment that is in consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation or government law.
Broad HR experience in: Employee Relations, Learning & Development and Analytics
SHRM-CP Preferred
