Position : Director of Patient Access
Job Description : Responsible for leading and managing the Patient Access department for Great Falls Hospital and Clinic, including registration accuracy, patient scheduling, pre-registration, insurance eligibility and verification, point of service collections, and staff productivity. This includes managing supervisory staff and being accountable for consistent quality performance, including the ability to consistently meet established key performance indicators that support patient access and an optimal patient experience. This position reports directly to and receives direction from the VP of Revenue Cycles. Will provide direction to Patient Access staff members including schedulers at all clinic locations. Facilitates alignment and collaboration across the revenue cycle and with other departments to ensure standardized workflows for front end processes while supporting cross-department feedback loops. Works cooperatively with Clinic leadership.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree, preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
3-4 years of practice administration or healthcare experience.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Demonstrated leadership and management abilities.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage people effectively.
Experience with automated patient account systems and basic knowledge of medical terminology.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.
