Job Description : Portland Based Cannabis company with multiple retail locations seeks an experienced bookkeeper / human resources coordinatorThis is a full-time or part-time position that can be done in-house or remotely for an experienced, dynamic, detail-oriented individual looking to work for an expanding and growing organization based in Portland.QUALIFICATIONS- Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles- High level of attention to detail and accuracy with data entry- Strong organization and communication skills- Excellent time management and prioritization skills- Excitement to join a fast-paced growing organizationPOSITION REQUIREMENTS- 1 to 2 years of proven bookkeeping experience, preferably in the legal, regulated cannabis industry- Associate degree in accounting, finance or business-related field- Basic knowledge of bookkeeping practices- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Docs, and other office software programs- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures- Some knowledge of cannabis regulations preferred- Some experience with tax accounting and reporting preferredPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of responsibilities, skills, or working conditions associated with the role. Management reserves the right to modify, add or remove duties as necessary.- Manage and process accounts receivable/payable in a timely manner- Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process- Check and verify source documents such as invoices and receipts-Processing Bi-Weekly payroll-Maintaining accurate employee records and files- Reconcile corporate credit cards with employees ensuring all receipts and transactions are accurately documented-Reconcile bank deposits-Provide Monthly Financial Reports to Management-Manage the day to day and corporate financial records for multiple companies in multiple jurisdictions-Maintain filing system to support financial records-Provide support to fellow employees by identifying, creating and implementing operational enhancements- Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested- Perform other duties as assignedJob Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: $45,000.00 – $65,000.00 per yearBenefits:Paid time offSupplemental Pay:Bonus payEducation:Associate (Preferred)Experience:Bookkeeping: 2 years (Preferred)Human resources: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
