Job Description : GeneralJob ResponsibilitiesI Lead Team Huddle.I take care of the customers and develop and lead my associates.Using the Team app, I provide my team with updates, set goals and track productivity.I follow up that my team’s critical routines are completed.I am accountable to make sure my team’s critical routines are completed.I lead all associates in the absence of the coach and store manager.I attend monthly store meetings and communicate important information back to my team.I have weekly discussions with my team to discuss the improvement of team productivity.I tour my area in with my team associates and coach.Follow and execute the process guides.I confirm that designated team associates have removed out-of-date products from the salesfloor daily (see Process Guides for specific date guidelines).Make sure your true availability is up to date.Familiarize and use the Me@Walmartmart app.Use Shift Swap as needed from the Me@Walmartmart app.Review unfilled shifts in the Me@Walmartmart app to gain more hours.I am accountable for the Ulearn training completion for my team.Essential Functions An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without a reasonable accommodation. Leads team associates effectively by operating as the manager on duty; prioritizing and delegating daily workloads; monitoring and communicating team staffing needs; ensuring area processes are executed effectively; setting clear expectations; communicating goals; maintaining open dialogue with team associates; providing consistent follow up to verify workload completion; ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures; and participating in the hiring, promotion, coaching, training, and evaluation of associates. Maintains area merchandise presentation and inventory accuracy by leading and guiding teams in receiving, stocking, and rotating merchandise; removing damaged or out-of-date goods; setting up, cleaning, and organizing product displays; zoning the sales area; signing and pricing merchandise appropriately; binning and picking merchandise; preparing, handling, packaging, labeling, and storing food to meet safety and compliance guidelines; operating and sanitizing food-related equipment; completing bin audits; working inventory exceptions; correcting shelf capacities; securing fragile and high-shrink merchandise; following proper procedures for handling and disposing of hazardous materials; and following opening and closing procedures in area of responsibility. Develops, communicates, and implements processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with managers, co-workers, customers, and other business partners; analyzing and applying information from multiple sources; monitoring progress and results; and identifying and addressing improvement opportunities. Demonstrates, promotes, and supports compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by explaining, guiding, and demonstrating how to apply these in executing business processes and practices; implementing related action plans; using the Open Door Policy; and assisting management with correcting ethical and compliance issues and problems. Leads and participates in teams by using and sharing resources, information, and tools; determining customer needs and business priorities; coordinating and executing work assignments; providing advice, feedback, and support to ensure timelines and work quality are achieved; and modeling and helping others with how to adapt to change or new challenges. Stands for long periods of time. Work Environment Working in the following environment is necessary to perform one or more of the essential functions of this position. Moves over slippery surfaces in the work area as well as other areas that may become slippery during inclement weather. May work with substances that require special handling Works in areas requiring exposure to varying temperatures, extreme heat or cold, and/or wet, damp, or drafty conditions. Works varying shifts as required.
