Job Description : Mt. Bachelor is looking for outgoing, self-motivated outdoor enthusiasts to join our Nordic team!
The Nordic Gate Attendant is responsible for managing operations and safety, resolving ticket issues, providing crowd control, and delivering the exceptional guest service that Mt. Bachelor’s Nordic Center is known for. The Gate Attendant must be familiar with the daily grooming report, event details and able to effectively communicate that information to guests. The Gate Attendant should be interested in Nordic skiing and able to share that passion with guests.

Being a Gate Attendant is an outside job in all types of harsh winter weather that may involve long periods of standing.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

Set up and tear down of crowd control gates and signs
Maintain entry/exit area throughout the day
Ensure that access gate area provides safe skier passage, and report any gantry issues
Provide excellent guest service every day
Effectively communicate while organizing a large crowd
Assist with ticket/pass issues and report fraud
Assist in snow removal wherever and whenever necessary
Demonstrate success in safety awareness
Have gate area ready for guests at opening time
Clean snow and ice from work areas
Maintain a safe work environment
Requirements:
Specific Job Skills:

Physical Capabilities- Able to remain standing outside in all weather conditions, shovel snow, and adjust gate placement

Education/Related Experience:

Minimum education required- Able to read, write and follow directions
