Job Description : Operations Manager- Penn/Kalamazoo, MI The Penn/Kalamazoo Farm Cannabis Operation is a key expansion for GRIP Cannabis. The Operations Manager provides a key link between operations and cultivation. We are hiring for 2 farms in the Penn/Kalamazoo area that are up to 50 acres in size. They hold up to 50,000 plants producing approx. 125,000 pounds of finished goods. The Operations Manager reports to the General Manager of the Facility and supervises up to 80 seasonal workers with peak business being August-November.Essential Responsibilities: Work with the construction team to plan and provide all necessary equipment needed for healthy plant growth and efficient processing.Oversee day to day workflow of construction for maximum efficiency.Manage all facility maintenance and cleaning.Work with cultivation manager to lead daily plant work tasks including harvesting, processing, quality control, and inventory management.Maintain compliant inventory records in Metrc per MRA standards. Establish inventory plans and proactively manage, driving improved and sustainable processes.Establish objectives and track key performance indicators across the organization; ensure continued improvement in all balanced scorecard indicators with emphasis on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, Cost and Culture.Proactively champion a culture focused on Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), driving a zero-incident culture. Empower employees and drive accountability for EHS to all levels in the organization.Order all seasonal supplies. Develop and cultivate relationships with key suppliers (internal and external) to ensure high quality relationships, products, and services.Continuously improve operations through alignment with GRIP goals and a strong focus on driving a Continuous Improvement Culture.Demonstrate a leadership style that perpetuates the vision of GRIP.Requirements: Minimum 3 years of operations, manufacturing, and/or project management experience.Minimum 3 years of experience of proven ability to build high performance teams, lead cross-functionality, and develop employees.Minimum 3 years of inventory management experience.Strong collaborative skills with proven ability to drive change and leadership ownership/accountability.Ability to provide leadership, performance results, organizational development, and operational improvement.Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations/Project Management or relevant work experience.Able to lift up to 30 lbs.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.Preferred Qualifications: Experience in agriculture or cannabis.Metrc experienceJob Details $50,000-100,000 salary based on experience.
