Job Description : Organization Overview Our Children Oregon’s mission is to be a voice and a force for the common good of all Oregon children, ensuring all children have the resources and opportunities needed to reach their full potential. Our Children Oregon focuses on child abuse prevention, improving child well-being through legislative and policy solutions, and on research and data that elevates the needs of children and youth in Oregon. Our Children Oregon centers the needs of BIPOC communities as our path toward moving the needle on our most persistent and pervasive societal concerns. Our role is to lift these voices to better direct vital state resources to improve outcomes across the state for all our children and their families.Position Description Our Children Oregon is looking for a passionate individual to help us maintain and expand giving from institutional funders. The Institutional Giving Manager is responsible for creating and implementing OCO’s foundation, corporate, and workplace giving program strategy. This position will work to build statewide support from corporate donors and from local and national foundations. This position is a key member of the Development Team and reports to the Executive Director. The position works in close collaboration with the Executive Director and program’s team on key funding strategies.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement a comprehensive giving strategy for local and national foundations.Prepare grant applications, proposals, LOI’s and reports to foundation funders.Establish and maintain strategic relationships with key foundations.Conduct ongoing and relevant research of funding sources to identify new or increased funding opportunities for operations, programs, and capacity building.Responsible for corporate giving strategy including the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of corporate donors.Work with the Director of Communications to help create consistency in corporate sponsorship messaging across all collateral.Manage workplace giving programs including expansion, preparation, and attendance of in person events.Provide support and leadership for fundraising events and community events hosted by other departments.Maintain corporate and foundation donor records in the EveryAction database.Attend community events and activities as requested as a way to promote the Our Children Oregon mission, vision, and core values.Create, maintain, and implement a robust calendar of internal and external deadlines related to institutional funding—letters of inquiry, proposals/applications; interim and final reports.Other administrative fundraising duties as needed.Qualifications and Job RequirementsPassion for racial equity and cultural responsiveness and elevating the needs of diverse communitiesAbility to communicate effectively and authentically among diverse audiences and stakeholdersExcellent written and verbal communication skillsA proven track record of successful fundraising from foundation and corporate sources.Knowledge of and proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Docs, and willingness to learn other programsExcellent organizational, administration, and project management skillsAbility and willingness to work collaboratively and experience working in team environmentsFlexible, innovative, energetic, and excited to work as a member of a teamSelf-motivated and organizedCommitment to the mission and values of Our Children OregonPolicy or political knowledge a plusAsana and/or EveryAction knowledge a plusThis is a full-time, non-exempt position.Our Children Oregon is an equal opportunity employer that values workplace diversity and strives to be an inclusive organization.
