Job Description : The School of Social and Behavioral Health Sciences invites applications for a full-time (1.00 FTE), 9-month, fixed-term Instructor position.

This position will teach online undergraduate and graduate courses in the Public Health program, serve as the primary advisor to graduate students in the Masters of Public Health (MPH) degree program, and provide service to the Program, School, College, or University in the form of committee work and participation in faculty meetings. Examples of courses to be taught include: Health Policy, Program Evaluation, Program Planning, Health Disparities, Mental Health, and/or Drugs, Society, and Behavior.
Our College, the first accredited College of Public Health and Human Sciences (CPHHS) in Oregon, has 2 Schools (Biological & Population Health Sciences and Social & Behavioral Health Sciences) comprising 9 academic programs. This position would work with three programs in our College – the undergraduate Public Health degree, both Health Management Policy and Health Promotion and Health Behavior programs, and the graduate MPH degree, Public Health Practice program. Position Duties
45%: Teach online and develop curriculum as needed in Public Health undergraduate and graduate courses in Health Management Policy and Health Promotion and Health Behavior.
36%: Teach online and develop curriculum as needed in the Master’s of Public Health, Public Health Practice.
9%: Advise students in the online Master’s of Public Health, Public Health Practice programs.
5%: Service to public health undergraduate programs.
5%: Service to the online Master’s of Public Health, Public Health Practice programs.
Minimum/Required Qualifications
Doctoral degree in Public Health or a closely related field by the employment start date.
Public health experience as evidenced by a graduate degree, research, teaching, service and/or employment in a public health discipline.
Prior teaching experience in Public Health or related field.
Prior experience with online teaching.
Broad range of expertise covering health policy, health promotion, and/or health behavior or similar disciplines.
Demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice.
Preferred (Special) Qualifications
Demonstrated excellence in teaching to undergraduate or graduate students in Public Health, interest in developing and teaching new courses.

Prior experience with the Canvas Learning Management System.
Working Conditions / Work Schedule
This position is expected to be fully remote but there may be occasional opportunities for on-site training and visits.
Must be available to attend occasional meetings and advise during regular business hours PST.
