We offer things such as less bureaucracy/red tape, a team-oriented atmosphere, growth/development opportunities, and a better work/life balance than many of our larger competitors.Reports to: IT ManagerPosition Summary: The IT Specialist provides general oversight of the IT infrastructure, provisioning, planning, installation, and operation. Responsible for researching and planning for implementation of the most recent technologies in the industry. Maintenance of system hardware, operating systems, software, and procedures that adhere to CW Bearing’s strategic goals.Essential Functions: Plan, implement, and monitor changes in infrastructure configurations.Oversee installation of new servers and hardware configurations.Develop and maintain system standards.Ensure daily backup operations are performed.Perform system monitoring for security purposes.Monitor Service Desk for tickets assigned to the queue and process based on priority.Develop best practices and written documentation for all server maintenance.Oversee the provisioning of the end-user services.Provide end-user support for a variety of web applications.Manage the financial aspect of IT development.Provide support for new users, security maintenance and database backups. Provide escalation to Visual support when necessary.Maintain licensing information for software used by the company.Assist in the procurement of IT hardware and software. Recommend the replacement of old PCs and re-distribute PCs where applicable.Maintain and troubleshoot the phone system and other audio/visual equipment.Maintain IT inventory system updated.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent with minimum 3 years relevant experience. Automotive supplier manufacturing experience a plus.Technical knowledge required: desktop operating systems; Windows Server operating systems; computer hardware; internet protocols; and network cabling, switches, patch panels, etc.Ability to work flexible hours in coordination with system demands as required.Result oriented with strong written and oral communication skills. Highly detail-oriented and organized with excellent analytic and problem-solving abilities.Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated proficiency with all Microsoft Office ApplicationsAll other duties as assignedSpanish speaker preferredTravel: Ability to travel as required less than 10% (overnight & outside of US).PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS: The physical and mental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by employees to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
