Preschool Nature-Based Assistant

(Full-time, hourly, potential to be year-round)

West Michigan Academy of Environmental Science, located in Walker, MI, is growing! We have an Early Childhood Center on our beautiful 62 acre campus with tuition and nature-based preschool classes!
This position will work in a preschool classroom assisting the lead teacher and developing in each student an appreciation for the environment!

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, or similar field of study preferred.
Associate’s degree or CDA required.
Demonstrated exemplary competence in areas of content responsibility as scholar and teacher, including ability to integrate environmental science skills into lesson plans.
Excellent verbal and written expression.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Computer literate.
Job Goal:
Assist the teacher in providing instruction to individual or small groups, carry out appropriate classroom activities, and develop in each student an appreciation of, and a commitment to the preservation of, the quality of the environment while upholding the mission and vision of the environmental academy and nature-based preschool.
