Position : Project Manager I
Job Description : The main function of a non-IT project manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, financial systems and product roll-out, etc or any other non-IT based project.
Job Functions
Manage a program
Setup meetings
Organize timelines, millstones and reporting
Working very closely with the project leader and various team leads that span both engineering and the prototype vehicles
There is a team that builds the vehicles and a team that tests the vehicles. There are parts tracking, issue tracking, testing status, overall presentation to e-vehicle management team on the status of testing and vehicle building.
Coordinate weekly or bi-weekly meetings to talk about what issues there are and what needs to be escalated. Scheduling these through C-place (proprietary to DTNA) and through Microsoft Teams.
Candidates need to devise a strategy to execute what we need to do. They will need to make a decision on how to keep a truck build on schedule and how to solution for that.
Initially the role will require more interaction and physical preference with the teams that are building the trucks
Project Manager duties:
Truck Build Planning
Host all PVE planning/truck build related meetings
Host C-sample build planning – glider/sales cab
Support C-sample Parsing – E1/E2/E3…etc
Host Truck build meetings
Aggregate & Share build issues/host build walk around/issue resolution – support
Organize budget rollups and planning
Lead and Support Visual management
Represent PVE team in Project meetings
Spend some time in the shop the Build team leads.
eDVP entry creation & tracking
Report out on testing matrix board
Organize
Lead and organize testing plan, and host Test vehicle weekly meeting, align and work through scheduling with greater team
Job Qualifications
Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
Basic knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
Basic knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
Basic knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio etc.
