Job Description : Creating Pathways Pediatric Therapy is a well-established speech/language and occupational pediatric therapy clinic that encourages functional independence and healthy living skills for the Salem and Silverton area. We are now expanding to the Albany area and are looking to grow our team. We are dedicated to our patients and are looking for someone who shows the same dedication and passion to join our amazing team of pediatric therapists.Job SummaryAssist speech-language pathologists in the assessment and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Implement speech and language programs or activities as planned and directed by speech-language pathologists. Monitor the use of alternative communication devices and systems.Essential FunctionsAssist speech-language pathologists in the remediation or development of speech and language skills.Collect and compile data to document clients’ performance or assess program quality.Document clients’ progress toward meeting established treatment objectives.Test or maintain equipment to ensure correct performance.Assist speech-language pathologists in the conduct of speech-language research projects.Perform support duties such as preparing materials, keeping records, maintaining supplies, and scheduling activities.Conduct or direct research on speech or hearing topics, and report findings for use in developing procedures, technologies, or treatments.AccountabilityThe Speech and Language Pathology Assistant does not make decisions that strongly impact the company’s operations, reputation, and/or client’s satisfaction. The SLPA does not make independent decisions and performs work under moderate supervision.Knowledge and SkillsPrevious experience with the pediatric populationAbility to communicate clearly, professionally, and courteously. Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instruction.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work in a positive manner with children of all ages.Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation in order to document in patient files and forward accurate information to clinical staff.FlexibilityMust be detail-oriented and have the ability to prioritize a variety of tasks.Possess a helpful natureDedication to compliance and best practices.Possess excellent organizational skillsMonitoring/Assessing performance of yourself and other individuals to make improvements or take corrective action.Work EnvironmentClinic environment with ambient room temperatures, lighting and rehabilitation equipment.Must be able to sit, stand, bend and twist as needed.Lifting of 30 lbs or less is common and requires proper lifting techniques.Job Type: Full-timePay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hourBenefits:Health insurancePaid time offRetirement planSchedule:Day shiftEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)License/Certification:SLPA License (Required)Work Location: Multiple Locations
