Job summary
Amazon Protective Services Business Operations team is looking for a talented Contracts Manager to be part our team! The Contracts Manager will be responsible for drafting and negotiating complex contracts, procurement and other commercial agreements, be the primary point of contact and own the information flow to and from our teams, stakeholders, and business partners. You will work with across global business lines and Legal partner to provide day-to-day advice, and support our continuous process improvement impacting our teams, our contracting processes and the businesses we support.

As the Contracts Manager, you will provide hands-on, full contract life cycle expertise through the entire contract life cycle. Responsibilities will include maintaining contractual opportunities and assisting in the formulation of contract policies, procedures, methods, operating practices, and performance standards. This Contracts Manager position demands a mix of strategic and transactional capabilities, with a firm understanding of risk management as it applies to contract management.

You will participate in and oversee team review of all customer contractual and purchase documents, coordinate legal activities for contract/agreement negotiation and support competitive bid process in reviewing RFPs and ensuring ability for contract compliance. You will maintain contract records/files and manage, track and ensure compliance with all contractual obligations. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire and ability to develop and implement tools and automation in contracting operations in order to increase efficiency and productivity. The successful candidate will work efficiently and independently, manage a high volume of projects with little guidance and proactively implement mechanisms that streamline repetitive tasks.

This position requires the candidate to have attention to detail, great follow through, ability to identify and drive global process improvements, coordinate between all PS teams and legal teams and be a great communicator to both external and internal customers. This position understands that supporting their teams is one of the most critical roles they perform, to achieve this they must be open and approachable, and have a bias for action. Travel may be required sometimes with short and/or no-notice
Experience with commercial contracts, international contracts, and cradle to grave process
Experience reviewing and negotiating legal terms of a broad range of enterprise technology commercial contracts
Ability to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situations
Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams
Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through and meet deadlines
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong analytical and computer skills
