Job Description : Portland Leather Goods is a well-established and fast-growing ecommerce company with big things planned for 2022! Providing folks with full-grain leather goods at affordable prices has been our passion since 2016. Our customer service team is central to our success. We take pride in offering thoughtful and warm responses to customer inquiries, and we are committed to retaining that quality of care as we expand into new markets. Email is our primary form of communication, but chat and phones are also important components that we plan to introduce in the near future!With exciting new product lines on the horizon, we are looking to add more motivated customer service professionals to our team. Our ideal candidate will be a natural writer with an ability to work efficiently at a computer and navigate multiple platforms at once, as well as a person who genuinely cares about assisting others, and has an excellent sense of humor!Responsibilities–Communicate with customers via email (primarily), chat and phones. Produce friendly, clear, and error-free written responses and copy–Match the tone of our company and turn any customer interaction into a positive one–Provide knowledgeable answers to questions about product, pricing, and availability–Work with internal departments to better meet customer’s needs–Execute data entry across various platforms–Identify and address potential patterns–Collaborate on solutions with a (fun) close-knit team!Qualifications–At least 2 years of customer service experience–Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Writing experience is a huge plus!–Ability to multitask, organize, and prioritize work–Responsive to feedback, eager to learn, and possess an ability to ask questions without hesitation–Experience with Shopify, G-Suite and customer management systems preferredPerks–36-40 hours a week–Access to medical and dental plans–PTO and holiday pay–Dog-friendly workplace–Competitive wages and room for growth within the companyWe work in a sun-filled workshop with amazing people, surrounded by puppies, plants and laughter, and genuinely look forward to being in the office and around our fellow team members!
