Job Description : Wash, rinse, and sanitize any pans, equipment, and utensils. Put away clean equipment to the appropriate areas. Empty and refill 3-compartment sink at least every four (4) hours.Avoid getting food packaging materials, metal, or plastic items inside the garbage disposal.Be watchful of sharp blades (slicers, etc) that are to be washed and sanitized – protective gloves are available if necessary. These items can also be properly washed and sanitized in the Rack Washer to avoid manual handling.Record water temperatures and sanitizing pH levels.Sweet and mop floor areas to keep clean.Trash Procedure:Distribute gondolas throughout the Production, Procurement, and Pots/Pans areas.Empty all trash barrels throughout the Production, Procurement, and Pots/Pans areas into the work area gondolas.Clean the inside and outside of trash barrels and replace the plastic liner.Break down empty boxes and place into the work area gondolas.Transport filled gondolas to the Environmental Services trash loading dock and bring back clean gondolas to the Production (2) and Procurement (1) areas.CLEANING RESPONSIBILITIES:Drain and clean sinksClean storage racksSpray arms in the Rack Washer and sanitize.Organize the janitor’s closet – Advise manager when products are running low.Wash walls and doors in the shack area, including the doors to and from the shack area.Clean legs of the 3-compartment sink.Clean fans to be kept free of dust.De-calcify Washer Arms twice per month.**PLEASE NOTE**Please always alert Manager on duty whenever a spill is made to prevent slip and fall injuries/hazards.Job routines may change to reflect the needs of the production/procurement unit and the university.You may be asked to perform duties outside of your normal responsibilities.Job Type: Full-timePay: $17.45 – $18.75 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceDisability insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offReferral programTuition reimbursementVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftDay shiftHolidaysWeekend availabilityAbility to commute/relocate:Ann Arbor, MI: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)Work Location: One location
