Job Description : Summary

Serves as Office Assistant for the general school building office

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ability to pass a typing test at 45 wpm.
Demonstrated ability to operate a personal/mainframe computer and related software.
Familiar with various software office functions.
Maintains respect at all times for confidential information
Receives a variety of questions and requests; responds promptly, correctly and tactfully
Effectively operates various office machines and technology; assist with maintenance
Conducts important contacts with the public/community requiring tact and diplomacy
Receives telephone calls, responds appropriately and correctly, and makes proper disposition of such calls
Assists in administering of first-aid when necessary
Assists with training of student office aides
Assists with maintaining file for staff absences
Assists with maintaining teacher/guest teacher folders
Assists with guest teacher assignments
Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent. High degree of proficiency in office procedures, typing and machines.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before parents, staff and students.

SALARY/SCHEDULE

Monday – Friday
8 Hours Per Day
$15.00 Per Hour
Building/Campus Clarkston Community Schools
