A day in the life:
Partner with hiring managers to plan recruitment strategies.
Advise managers in determining, developing and recommending recruitment/selection strategies and processes.
Communicate with managers and applicants regarding specific jobs and requirements.
Write and develop recruitment announcements, templates, brochures and advertisements.
Screen applications for eligibility.
Use social media tools for recruiting/outreach and incorporate into recruitment processes and advertising strategy.
Recommend recruitment procedures and processes.
Interpret, apply, and ensure compliance with laws, rules, policies and collective bargaining agreements throughout the recruitment and selection process.
Provide input into the development or modification of recruitment procedures and process improvement activities.
Support the agency’s Strategic Action Plan and diversity, equity and inclusion goals throughout the recruitment process.
Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters, media and internet sites.
Hybrid remote work options available within the state of Oregon.
Work with a high volume of recruitments and multiple projects and priorities, deal with challenging issues, manage confidential information, work with conflicting and/or short timelines and attend meetings.

What we need:
Three years human resource paraprofessional or technical-level experience.
OR
Valid Certification as a Professional in Human Resource awarded by the Human Resource Certification Institute, and one-year human resource experience.
OR
A bachelor’s degree in human resource management, organizational behavior or development, business or public administration, the applied behavioral sciences, industrial relations or a job-related course of study determined by the appointing authority.
The State Certified Human Resources Professional (SCHRP) certification, awarded by the Oregon Chief Human Resources Office, substitutes for six months of human resource professional-level experience.
Valid Certification as a SHRM Certified Professional awarded by a nationally recognized organization, substitutes for one year of human resource professional-level experience.
Driving is an essential function of this position. You must have a valid driver license and an acceptable driving record. We will conduct pre-employment driving records checks on our final candidate(s). Your license does not have to be issued in Oregon to be considered.
