Job Description : George Fox University announces a part-time, adjunct instructor position in George Fox Connect. This is a part-time, as-needed position teaching adult learners. George Fox Connect offers degree completion courses in a condensed format online.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Prepare a syllabus and course site (all classes have an approved textbook and established learning outcomes, and sample syllabi are typically provided)
Prepare instruction that reflects the established learning outcomes
Prepare thoroughly for each instructional week
Instruct and guide students in an efficient and effective manner
Maintain accurate records of student work and attendance
Maintain a safe and engaging learning environment
Grade and return student work within one week of submission
Counsel students as needed on their performance and progress in the course
Use the Canvas learning management system for all course work
Attend at least one professional development event each calendar year
Remain up-to-date on technology and methods of teaching with technology
Stay informed about changes and innovations in your field
Adhere to GFC and GFU policy guides
Qualifications
Master’s degree in field or other related degree required; terminal degree preferred
Demonstrated excellence in teaching preferred
Experience in teaching online through a Learning Management System preferred
Graduate degree and/or extensive experience in the subject area required
A commitment to working with a diverse population of students required; demonstrated experience in this area preferred.

Candidates must have legal authority to permanently work in the U.S. and be a resident of one of the following states: Oregon, Washington, California, Idaho, New York, Ohio, Texas.
