Job Description : With multiple clinic sites across Montana, One Health (formerly Bighorn Valley Health Center) provides medical and behavioral health services to rural populations through a community-based, integrated approach to health care. POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for supporting the Human Resources Department by performing a variety of general day-to-day clerical activities, assisting with administration of benefits programs, hiring/onboarding activities, maintaining required documents, assisting with staff training, data collection and reporting, and tracking various HR functions related to employees.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides clerical support to the Human Resources (HR) Department.
Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resources files, records, and documentation.
Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately and consistently named.
Assists with hiring, onboarding, and offboarding related duties for site specific personnel.
Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate HR Manager or Director.
Assists in the performance evaluation program by notifying supervisors and employees when evaluations are due and tracking completions.
Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement third party plan providers.
Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, employee recognition events, and other celebrations.
Participates in and transcribes minutes for Human Resources staff meetings, circulates to team members, and files for retention.
Handles sensitive information in a confidential manner.
Assists in collection of data, evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of HR Department in relation to established goals.
Recommends new approaches to effect continual improvement in efficiency of the department and services performed.
Participates in developing, performing, and tracking department goals, objectives, and systems.
Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment and personnel records.
Works in a team environment with other HR Managers at other sites/locations.
Adheres to all One Health Policies and Procedures.
Participates in performance optimization and risk management activities as required.
Cooperates and abides by all elements of One Health’s Compliance Program.
Provides exceptional customer service and models the mission of One Health when interacting with internal and external stakeholders promoting a positive image for the health center.
Performs other duties as assigned or required with or without prior notification.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certifications:

Required

Associate Degree in Human Resources or Health Administration; or four (4) years work-related experience
Valid driver’s license

Preferred

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or Health Administration; or eight (8) years work-related experience
SHRM (Society for Human Resource Management) Certification or HRCI Certification
Experience:

Required

Two (2) years’ experience in Human Resources
