Job Description : Human Resources Manager
PDM is actively seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic team member to join our rapidly growing company. The Human Resources Manager oversees and provides support in the areas of recruitment, benefits administration, training and development, performance management, safety, health and environment regulations and requirements, employment law, policy development, and employee relations. The Human Resources Manager champions a positive organizational culture and employee relations, encourages teamwork, and fosters employee engagement.

Salary: $65,000 to $75,000 – negotiable depending on experience and qualifications.
Job Responsibility
Manages and coordinates tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary procedures; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
Directs employment management functions including recruitment, selection and internal promotion activities
Manages and administers a comprehensive employee benefits program, administers contracts and plan documents.
Updates and utilizes Applicant Tracking System.
Conducts and modifies new hire orientation and onboarding program to meet the needs of the Company.
Interaction with and communication with employees on job-related issues, concerns, problems and effective problem resolution processes. Refers complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
Provides counsel and directs activities related to employee relations including policies, discipline, grievances, terminations and other personnel practices and problematic situations.
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Creates, revises and reviews job descriptions.
Conducts impartial investigations into allegations of discrimination, harassment or violations of Company policies and procedures that may result in disciplinary action or termination.
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Monitors workers compensation program, completing first reports and facilitating the process.
Manages the administration of staff development programs and employee training activities.
Manages Companywide Performance Management System.
The Ideal Candidate
Advanced working knowledge of human resource disciplines including employment law and employee relations.
Customer focus and deep interest in employee relations, ability to interact and engage with employees at all levels.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of extremely sensitive information.
Sound judgement and problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Approachable and able to work without direct supervision; and takes initiative organizing and completing assigned tasks.

Strong leadership capabilities and effective management skills.

Advanced computer proficiency with Microsoft products and other database systems.
Ability to prioritize competing demands and effectively manage multiple tasks, assignments and/or projects while being responsive and flexible.
Establishes, maintains, and fosters positive and harmonious working relationships with those contacted during work.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Haman Resources, Business or related field.
Successful work experience as a Human Resources Manager or Director.
Working knowledge of MS Office and computer skills.
Successful experience working with recruitment and employee relations.
Preferred
Current certification as a PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP
Experience in a manufacturing organization.

Physical Demands
Work requires sitting at desk/computer station and walking between departments and on the production concrete floor.
Physical demands are moderate, consisting primarily of sitting for extended periods of time, standing, walking and climbing stairs.
Must be able to squat, stoop and bend in order to retrieve office materials and files from cabinets and shelves.
Performs work in an office environment where temperature extremes are minimized.
Must be able to perform math calculations to include percentages and decimals.
Ability to distinguish different color and size.
Possess hand and finger dexterity.
Ability to read, interpret and comprehend written procedures and orders.
Verbal instructions require moderate interpretation.
The noise level ranges from quiet to moderate to very loud when on the production floor.
Ability and skill in hearing within normal ranges is essential for normal conversations, over the phone and to receive information and to prepare or inspect documents.
Lifts up to 7 lbs. to 10 lbs. on an occasional basis and up to 25 lbs. on an infrequent/as need basis.
