General Summary of Purpose of this Position:

Works across HRDC programs, departments, and locations to manage IT, phone, and print. The IT Manager is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of employee workstations, software, and web-based utilities, as well as maintaining network user accounts. The position requires working in close conjunction with HRDC Network Security contractor, as well as with Data and Systems Managers. In addition to technical skills that support minor IT service requests and major projects, the position requires a number of soft skills (active listening, patience, and teaching) to ensure employees are well supported in their day-to-day activities.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
Direct IT Services

Install, monitor, troubleshoot, and correct computer workstations
Provide technical help desk service/support across sites to troubleshoot issues and outages, including issues with software, hardware, personal devices, printers, scanners, phones, etc.
Respond to equipment malfunctions, advising CEO/Management Team of major malfunctions, contact vendors for service call assistance in repairing or correcting equipment malfunctions
Collaborate with company service providers and contractors, including internet services, printing, phone, and network security
Prepare and coordinate sending equipment out for repair
Ensure phone systems are operable and manage connectivity across sites
Ensure printing systems are operable and manage connectivity across sites
Manage network Active Directory User accounts and drives/network management
Create or compile support documentation and training manuals and videos
Train employees in the basic operation and maintenance of computers and related components; assist staff in using technology to attain program goals.
Conduct new hire orientation IT overview
Perform other related duties, special projects, and assignments as required

IT Administration:

Coordinate computer ordering with department managers, confirm specifications and required system setup
Work with the CEO/Management Team to ensure systems functionality and effectiveness, and collaborate to develop the strategic direction of IT systems
Follow procedures to ensure systems and equipment security and protect file integrity
Analyze system deficiencies in service or performance; recommend product or service improvements
Work with HR to ensure smooth employee onboarding and offboarding, as well as Google Admin Console management.
Support Systems Manager in equipment procurement, inventory management, and software licensing deployment.
Perform other related duties, special projects, and assignments as required

Communication:

Interact and communicate with staff and partners professionally
Communicate both personally, through oral or written directives and memoranda, with all parties
Attend appropriate meetings and conferences
Acts as resource to those with questions on system management

Education and Experience

Associate’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or related area preferred; or successful completion of computer hardware and software training, and a working knowledge of networking and applications software; or any equivalent combination of experience and training

Two years professional work experience that would provide general office skills including computer usage, office machines operation, general office procedures, and public interaction.

Familiarity with database and information system technologies
Experience with systems administration
Help desk/customer service experience
