Job Description : SchedulerMichigan Lieutenant Governor Gilchrist seeks an experienced, detail-oriented and highly organized individual to serve as Scheduler. The Scheduler reports to the Lt. Governor’s Chief of Staff to maintain the Lt. Governor’s daily and long-term schedule, correspondence, and briefing materials and acts as a liaison for the Lt. Governor with staff, the public, principals and other elected officials.The ideal candidate can anticipate scheduling changes, manage the Lt. Governor’s time in the most efficient manner possible and ensure the Lt. Governor’s timeliness and preparedness for each engagement. The Scheduler must be able to perform all duties of the job in a discrete and trustworthy manner. Ideal candidates will possess strong oral and written communication skills, the ability to work cooperatively with others and juggle multiple competing priorities at once, and a temperament to communicate with a variety of personalities in a tactful and professional manner. Position requires flexibility and availability by phone and email on weekends and evenings, and use of Word and Outlook. This is not an entry level position. Previous scheduling or similar executive-level administrative experience required.Salary dependent upon applicant’s qualifications and previous experience.
