This is an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a world class overland expedition company dedicated to building the most capable vehicles on the planet and providing our community the ability to travel without barriersThe Supply Chain Manager for EarthCruiser will have the opportunity to develop relationships in in support of EarthCruiser’s product lines. The primary duties and responsibilities are listed below:Duties and ResponsibilitiesCreate/Manage Supply Chain StrategyManage warehouse staff and hoursWork with Accounting, Engineering, and Production staff on primary and secondary Vendor sourcingSeek and partner with reliable suppliers and vendors negotiating the best possible pricing, deliveries, and termsDevelop and implement purchasing and contract management strategies, policies and proceduresDevelop methods and measurements to track vendor performanceCreate & execute a systematic program forcost reductionimproved inventory turnoverReview purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policyPrepare reports regarding market conditions and material costCommunicate effectively with office and production floor staff regarding matters related to purchasing, receiving, and inventory controlAssess, manage, and mitigate risk (including excess and obsolete inventory)Create & manage Kanban levels and Vendor Managed Inventory programUse production information and JobBoss software to create a weekly MRP program and purchase all components for EarthCruiser buildsConduct weekly inventory cross-checks and software audits to ensure all parts needed for EarthCruiser builds are present, and that material for upcoming builds has been ordered according to lead times and production scheduleDevelop and maintain re-order points for shop consumable supplies and material. Use this information to purchase consumable materials and supplies, and ensure consumable materials and supplies are never exhaustedPrimarily responsible for purchasing, receiving, and inventory modules within JobBoss softwareControl purchasing department budget. Ensure freight terms are optimally structured and priced for all purchasesWork with the Accounting department to ensure all vendor invoices are correct and comply with all PO terms. Pursue vendor credits as necessary and provide other documentation and support to Accounting department as requestedPerform a variety of complicated tasks, as required.Qualifications RequiredProven working experience as purchasing manager, agent or officerExperience with sourcing and vendor managementA knack for negotiation and networkingAbility to understand blueprints, specifications, and other printed instruction material, to the extent required for purchasingMS Office, QuickBooks, and production software experienceRely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsDemonstrate willingness to work with others in a team environmentPositive, willingness to learn and participate in a changing environment to reach a common goalAbility to gather and analyze data and to work with figuresStrong leadership capabilities and results orientedEffective multitasker with tireless energyInterest in market dynamics along with business sensePass background screeningQualifications PreferredBS degree in supply chain management, logistics or business administrationWorking experience with JobBoss or other manufacturing MRP softwareJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:10 hour shiftMonday to FridayEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Work Location: One location
