Job Description : Ford Motor Credit Company seeks an experienced legal assistant to join the Legal Office supporting Ford Credit business operations. This role will begin remotely, and in the future may either remain fully remote or transition to a hybrid work model (in-person/at-home) based in Dearborn, MI,

What you’ll be able to do:

Work collaboratively with members of the Ford Credit Legal Office to develop practical legal advice that demonstrates a strong understanding and application of the law to Ford Credit’s business
Assist attorneys to develop legal advice for Ford Credit management that improves Company decision-making
Support the core business of Ford Credit while also participating on cross functional project teams
Assist the Compliance team with responses to federal and state regulatory examinations
Assist attorneys in ensuring all procedures, processes, systems and documents comply with applicable law and corporate policies
Assist attorneys with and perform legal research and analysis
Monitor applicable law changes
Support monitoring for compliance with laws, regulations, guidance issued by relevant regulatory bodies, and Company policy
Minimum requirements we seek:
Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies
3+ years of experience in a large law firm or corporate law department
OR

Bachelor’s degree
Legal Assistant Certificate
3+ years of experience in a large law firm or corporate law department
Our preferred qualifications:
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills
Strong academic credentials
Strong computer skills including data base utilization and Microsoft Office
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to function effectively and collaboratively as part of cross-functional teams
Ability to identify legal risk and approaches to mitigate risk from both a litigation and regulatory perspective
Strong organizational skills and proven ability to work on and multiple projects simultaneously
Strong project management skills
Excellent issue-spotting and analytical skills
Experience with financial services legal and regulatory requirements (e.g. Dodd-Frank, TILA, Consumer Leasing Act, FCRA, SCRA, UDAAP, GLB, ECOA, and state vehicle finance and collection laws)
Ability to work under pressure against deadlines and deliver results
Comfort with changing business and legal/regulatory environment
Attention to detail, continuous improvement, learning, and innovative mind set
