We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as Warehouse Manager. In this role, you will lead the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and personnel, including the production, shipping, picking, and receiving departments.
This role will be charged with the expectation of defining new policies and processes and implementing change into the organization through education, mentorship, and leadership. The Warehouse Manager role will be a critical hub aimed at customer execution, maximizing the efficiency of processes, while reducing overall time to market, and meeting on-time delivery and service level KPI’s.
As the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for:
Warehouse Management:
Establishes and executes overall warehouse strategies including site planning, hub strategies, vendor managed inventory initiatives.
Institutes and leads initiatives to create consistency and efficiency in Warehouse operations.
Implement new scan-based WMS.

Inventory Management
Tracks inventory metrics (accuracy, turns, Excess & Overstock, Obsolete, etc.) and develops action plans for continuous improvement of these items.
Implements Cycle Count and Physical Inventory processes, leads activities, and trains personnel.

Order processing and fulfillment
Implements best practices in the order to fulfillment process.
Builds and monitors the order fulfillment process including lead-time monitoring, planning inventory between locations, and pick pack/ship process to ensure service level commitments are met.

Safety
Implements and drives a safety-first culture, including implementation of best safety practices, safety related corrective actions and recommendations, and creating an overall safe work environment, not driven solely by compliance.

People
Build, mentor, guide the warehouse team through people development plans, one on one interactions, and team communications.
Evaluate talent, identify gaps, and provide a framework to fill the gaps.
Influence cross functionally and with both direct and indirect authority.
Heart for culture, positive morale, and team orientation.
Identify long term organizational structure related to Operations and show the path forward.

Other
Develop and maintain reports and dashboards for tracking department metrics.

Experience and Knowledge:
5 years+ of warehouse/distribution management experience with increased levels of responsibility required.
Experience leading a team of 30+ staff.
E-Commerce distribution experience a plus.
Knowledge of systemized inventory control.
Experience guiding a fast-growing company through organizational change, displaying a connection to employees, through empathy and building of trust.
Expert listener and learner.
Ability to develop and lead people, creating a culture of recognized performance.
Exceptional organizational, prioritization, decision-making, and planning skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, to be able to identify, pro-actively propose system and process improvements.
Master at execution, can define scope and manage projects and initiatives.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strategic thinker, detailed doer. This is a hands-on, “roll up the sleeves” management role.
Experience creating, implementing, and monitoring operations processes.
Hands on experience creating and monitoring functional KPI’s, including the ability to create reports, mine data from an ERP system, and present to Sr. Management.
Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, intermediate Excel, and computer skills.
