You will be part of an organization that directly impacts the success and satisfaction of our clinicians, researchers, and educators across Michigan Medicine.In this role, you will lead skilled instructional designers and training facilitators in the design and delivery of learning curriculum that is engaging, drives effective and efficient systems use, and improves the integration of technology into the work of our end customers. Training is delivered in a variety of mediums including classroom, virtual instructor led, and various online learning strategies. You will build and maintain valued relationships with key stakeholders to identify needs, plan and prioritize training, and evaluate the business impact of the learning programs.About YouYou’re skilled at driving ambiguity toward simplicity. Work at Michigan Medicine and become a victor for the greater good.What Benefits can you Look Forward to?Excellent medical, dental and vision coverage effective on your very first day2:1 Match on retirement savingsResponsibilities*Ensure strategic alignment of your team, LDD and organizational goals.Collaborate with other Leaders within LDD to ensure cohesion and consistency across teams.Set the direction, resourcing, work assignment, and development of the team.Manages the entire training project lifecycle of multiple projects through each stage of design and development, estimating production time, delivery dates, and review cycles, as necessary.Identify training needs by consulting with stakeholders, technical owners and using needs assessments.Oversee the design, development and delivery of engaging and effective learning solutions.Manage ongoing enhancements and modifications of learning in response to technology changes, and opportunities to enhance engagement, learning or retention.Evaluate training programs to ensure training is meeting business needs and improving performance.Examine and review current processes to identify opportunities for increased success across LDD and lead in their implementation for your team.Required Qualifications*A Bachelor’s degreeMinimum 5 years of professional experience in learning & development for adult learners, ideally focused on IT or software training.Desired Qualifications*Advanced degree in Instructional Design or Learning Design & Technology or related field.10+ years of experience in learning and development.2+ years in a leadership role.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with delivering presentations.A strong leadership presence with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.Familiarity with human/learner centered design methodologies.Experience in a healthcare related field.Project management experience.Work LocationsThis position is being made available with the ability for you to negotiate alternative work schedules and remote/on-site options to suit your work-life balance.
